Kendriya Vidyalaya Vidyalaya Ordnance Factory, Varangaon was established in the year 1982 under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education. .

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is committed to nurturing the holistic development of students, ensuring a uniform curriculum and educational standards across all its schools throughout India. The 69 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the Mumbai Region uphold this commitment by placing a strong emphasis on imparting life skills and fostering harmony through child-centric learning activities.
